Google+ Google Optimise AdWords and Get Relevant Leads in Rs 100/Day onwards: What is Google AdWords

What is Google AdWords

Google dominates the world of search, and within it, the world of Online Advertising. Google AdWords, its paid advertising programme, is a critical tool for those who wish to make their business visible across the worldwide net, or within a particular geographical area.

First, the cost.

Traditionally, the biggest stumbling block to Advertising has been the high cost associated with it. It can literally cost thousands of dollars even if you are advertising locally in your city.

However, Google AdWords allows you to set your own cost. You can set it to as low as $1 or as high as $1000 per day. It's a pretty flexible tool so you should set an amount that is in line with your business goals & ensures a good ROI. And that requires constant monitoring.

The second factor is the Reach of Google. By Reach, we mean how many queries does Google handle? As per Google itself, it handles "more than 1 billion queries from people around the world in 181 countries and 146 languages". As is the case with Google mostly, it's quite a big no. It does give you an idea of how big Google is and how it can put your business in front of billions of people & prospective customers. You can see the full article here: http://www.google.co.in/competition/howgooglesearchworks.html

Here is a video that introduces Google AdWords rather nicely:

Then there are other critical advantages of GoogleAdWords:

1) Ability to target cities, countries or the world. Even if you are an advertising wary B2B manufacturer, you can solicit new enquiries from across the world with a good Business website and an online campaign.

A new innovation by Google AdWords allows you to do "radius targeting". For example, you can target London in United Kingdom in a certain radius which allows you to include (at times) nameless suburbs or semi urban areas.

Target a city & its immediate radius

2) Reaching out to consumers as they "search" for various things. You can target 20,000 different queries per Ad campaign on AdWords, covering every imaginable customer query. That's a tremendous advantage as no customer query or search request is left un-addressed. To highlight this aspect, just look at the image below:

You can target a keyword & all its derivations

As you can see, if you wish to target the search query "Google AdWords", it is possible to generate 800 different derivations of it. Essentially, you can ensure that no aspect of Google AdWords remains un-targeted. Ditto for other keywords. This is what builds up your Ad's reach on the web. Across the world.

3) Quick Product Testing: Since the overall costs associated with Online Advertising are  low and completely controllable, you can quickly test a new product or service offering. In fact, you can run simultaneous campaigns to see which one gets a better response. And remember, all the changes happen in real time. Once again, allow us to present an example.

AdWords also allows real cost effective Product Testing

This is two weeks data from a recent campaign for a client of ours. The campaign ran in the US. As you can see, it is the Ad Group # 3 that has the maximum impressions and clicks. What it means is that over a two weeks time, people preferred (hence Clicks) Ads with a certain product compared to others.

4) Build Credibility: Today, presence in the digital domain is a must if you want to be taken seriously. Online visibility is therefore critical to your long term sustainability. A lot of people assume a website is enough, but then, Google has billions of websites jostling for attention. Where is your website? How many visitors does it get every day? You can build a sizable audience and engage your customers through Online Advertising.

And of course, you can measure it all, again thanks to Google. Google Analytics is a free service that lets you figure each and every aspect about your website. You can use Google Analytics to measure the effectiveness of your campaign on various parameters. Just refer to the image below:

Through Google Analytics you can measure the effectiveness of your Ads

You can check for example, the city that your visitors came from, how much time they spent on each page & what was the Bounce Rate (Those who left after viewing one page only), amongst other things.

So there you are. These are the various advantages of Google AdWords, and Online Advertising in general. It is really a win win deal.
